<Lead>
The **Assistant** (Assistent) is your workspace AI: it answers questions, writes copy, and gets tasks done with your data. You will find it full screen at `/agent` and as a floating orb on every page of the platform. It is a standard tool included in every plan, with nothing to install.

## Where to find the assistant

The assistant is deliberately not a single screen. It is available everywhere:

## Getting started

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the assistant">

  </Step>
  <Step title="Ask a question">
    Just start typing in the composer (**Frag mich etwas …**, ask me anything). Examples: "Summarize this property in three sentences" or "Write an invitation to a viewing".
  </Step>
  <Step title="Understand modes">
    By default everything runs in **Standard** mode, which fits about 90 percent of requests. For important answers there is **Premium**, for quick small tasks **Lite** (must be enabled by the owner). Details: [Modes and costs](/tools/agent/modi-und-kosten).
  </Step>
  <Step title="Use attachments and mentions">
    Attach up to 6 files (text, image, PDF, via drag and drop or from the clipboard) and mention properties or leads with `@` so the assistant works with them directly.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Confirm actions">
    When the assistant wants to change something (for example create a task), a confirmation card appears in the chat. Only your click on **Erlauben** (allow) executes the action.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Costs

The assistant bills per message, based on actual cost times the mode factor (Lite 0.15x, Standard 1x, Premium 3.5x). Small amounts are collected and only booked as a single entry once they reach 5 credits: **KI-Assistent · gebündelte Nutzung (N Nachrichten)** (AI assistant, bundled usage). Amounts below the small-amount threshold are hidden by default (you are always charged correctly); the display toggle lives under **Account > Appearance** (Konto > Erscheinungsbild). Everything else, including the estimate pill, the cost line, and what happens when your balance runs out, is covered in [Modes and costs](/tools/agent/modi-und-kosten). Topping up credits: [guide](/help/howto/topup-credits).
