Frequently asked questions
Price, moving a domain, property maintenance, preview, legal texts, enquiries, publishing and what cancelling does to your content.
The questions we get asked most often about the website tool. If a domain will not switch over, or you are looking at an error message, the answer is under Troubleshooting.
What does the website add-on cost?
The price will be announced with the beta, together with the amount of the one-off setup fee. While the decision is open we do not name a figure, instead of estimating one that turns out wrong later. What applies today: Cost and add-on.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. The only technical steps are two DNS records when connecting your domain, and the tool shows you an exact guide with the finished values to copy.
Can I keep my existing domain?
Yes. The domain is connected, not bought anew, and it stays yours. If it used to point at an old website, set up the redirects for the old addresses under SEO before switching, so that rankings and existing links keep working. See Connecting a domain.
Do I have to maintain properties twice?
No. The website reads live from the property portfolio of your workspace, including the platform's onOffice sync. There is no second data set inside the tool, and sold properties disappear by themselves.
Can I look at the website before publishing it?
Yes. The preview link shows the state of your website before a domain of your own is connected, and it works only for people who have the link. For unsaved drafts there is Share draft with a link valid for seven days.
How quickly is a change live?
Immediately after publishing. Every publication creates an immutable version, and you can roll back to an older one with a single click. Your current draft is kept while you do.
Who may edit content and who may publish?
Those are deliberately separate permissions. Your team can edit pages, team profiles and legal texts; going live stays with the owner and admins by default.
Are the imprint and the privacy policy taken care of?
Two generators produce both texts from your office details, and the result always lands as a draft. You publish it, never the system. The texts are built carefully for estate agents in Germany, but they do not replace legal advice. Have them reviewed by a lawyer if in doubt, especially where you added your own passages.
Does my website need a cookie banner?
It is built in. Without consent neither analytics nor marketing tools run, and embedded content such as maps or videos only loads after a second click. The mandatory links in the page footer cannot be removed.
Where do enquiries from the website end up?
In your workspace, not in someone else's mailbox. Every enquiry carries verifiable proof of the consent given. Completed enquiries and those marked as spam are deleted automatically twelve months after completion; unhandled ones stay until you touch them.
Do my images count against storage?
Yes. Images from the editor live in the file storage of your workspace and count against the quota of your plan. Once it is full, further uploads fail while your website and the images already uploaded stay untouched.
What happens if I cancel the add-on?
The website goes offline and your content is kept for 90 days so you can come back without losing anything. After that it is deleted for good. Your domain remains yours and is managed centrally in the workspace settings.
