The Rechtliches (legal) area keeps your website on safe legal ground: imprint and privacy policy are generated from your details, the cookie banner is built in, tracking only loads after consent. Everything lands as a draft; nothing is ever published automatically.
Imprint details
The form at the top of the area collects everything for the imprint. Required fields are marked with an asterisk:
Saving confirms with "Angaben gespeichert." (details saved); format errors show "Bitte die Felder prüfen (Firma und E-Mail-Format)." (please check the fields, company and email format).
The two generators
Under Rechtstexte (legal texts) sit two cards:
The button reads Generieren (generate) or Neu generieren (regenerate) if the text already exists. The result always lands as a draft on the respective page: "Impressum als Entwurf erstellt. Prüfen und veröffentlichen." (imprint created as a draft, review and publish). Publishing is done by you, never automatically. While mandatory fields are missing, the generators are locked.
Service detection
The privacy policy automatically adapts to what your website actually uses. Detected services: forms, appointment booking, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel. Remove the map block, for example, and the Maps paragraph disappears with the next generation.
If the set of services changes after the last generation, a banner warns you: "Die Dienste Ihrer Website haben sich geändert. Generieren Sie die Datenschutzerklärung neu und veröffentlichen Sie die aktualisierte Fassung." (your website's services have changed; regenerate the privacy policy and publish the updated version).
Analytics and marketing (tracking IDs)
Optionally, enter your tracking IDs under the integrations:
The crucial part: "Die Scripts werden erst geladen, nachdem Besucher im Cookie-Banner eingewilligt haben." (the scripts only load after visitors have consented in the cookie banner). Without consent, nothing is tracked. Invalid formats produce "Bitte die ID-Formate prüfen (G-…, AW-…, Pixel numerisch)." After changes you should regenerate the privacy policy; the tool reminds you with the stale banner.
Custom additions
Via Abschnitt hinzufügen (add section) you append your own paragraphs to the end of the imprint or the privacy policy. An unmissable liability warning applies: "Dieser Abschnitt stammt von Ihnen. Für selbst ergänzte Inhalte übernehmen wir keine Haftung. Lassen Sie eigene Ergänzungen rechtlich prüfen." (this section comes from you; we assume no liability for self-added content; have custom additions legally reviewed). Saving confirms with "Gespeichert. Generieren Sie den Rechtstext neu, um sie einzufügen." (saved; regenerate the legal text to insert it). Additions appear at the end of the respective legal text on the next generation.
Cookie banner and two-click gate
The cookie banner is built in and runs entirely on your own domain (first-party, no third-party consent platform):
- Equal buttons: "Alle akzeptieren" (accept all), "Nur notwendige" (only necessary) and "Einstellungen" (settings) are styled as equals. No dark pattern hiding the decline option.
- Categories: Statistik (analytics), Marketing and Externe Inhalte (external content), individually selectable under settings.
- Validity: the decision is stored for 12 months; after that the banner asks again.
- Two-click gate: maps and videos only load after clicking "Karte laden" (load map) or "Video laden" (load video), including a note about the data transfer to Google. Details in the block reference.
- Changeable any time: the footer link Cookie-Einstellungen is always present; visitors can change their choice whenever they like.
Enforced footer legal links
The footer of every website always contains the links Impressum, Datenschutz and Cookie-Einstellungen. They cannot be removed and never depend on the main menu. This protects you from accidentally running a website without its mandatory pages.
First-publish gate
Without the required fields (office/company, street, postal code, city, email and the licensing authority under section 34c GewO) the website cannot be published for the first time. The message reads: "Vor dem ersten Live-Gang fehlen Impressums-Pflichtangaben: ... Bitte im Bereich Rechtliches ergänzen." After the first publish the gate no longer blocks; keep the details current anyway.
